Sunil Patel
Sunil Patel is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer who is a regular on the comedy circuit and has been declared by Time Out as ‘one to watch’.
Early in his career he received two notable accolades, being a finalist in the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and a Chortle Best Newcomer nominee.

In early 2024 he starred in the major new Channel 4 romantic drama series ‘Alice and Jack’, playing Paul, the best friend of Domhnall Gleeson’s titular character Jack. The show also stars Andrea Riseborough, Aisling Bea and Aimee Lou Wood. Also in 2024 he had a recurring role playing solicitor Adam in the brand new BBC Three show ‘Things You Should Have Done’, described as a “hilarious, offbeat, dysfunctional family-sitcom”, as well a role in BBC One's 'Beyond Paradise'.
He is known for his starring role as Sujan in ‘Borderline’, Channel 5’s mockumentary series about the UK Border Force and as John Robbins’ sidekick and fact-master in quiz show ‘Beat the Internet’ on Dave. He also co-hosts the BBC Sounds podcast series ‘But Where Are You Really From?’. Sunil has also hosted his own Radio 4 comedy show ‘An Idiot’s Guide to Bagging an Heiress’ in 2024, which was the follow up to his previous Radio 4 show, 'An Idiot's Guide To Cryptocurrency' in 2022.
He has had roles in many other high profile TV shows including ‘Stath Lets Flats’ (Channel 4), ‘The Witchfinder’ (BBC Two), ‘Bloods’ (Sky One) and ‘This Time with Alan Partridge’ (BBC One) and his film credits include ‘Love at First Sight’ (Netflix) and the 2022 BAFTA nominated British film ‘Brian and Charles’. And recently seen in series 3 of Diane Morgan's hit comedy 'Mandy'. He will also be starring in the upcoming release of Macon Blair's adaptation of 'The Toxic Avenger', coming this August.
In 2022 he wrote and starred in ‘Silo’ as part of Sky Comedy Shorts on Sky Arts and has also featured in ITV2’s ‘The Stand Up Sketch Show’, ‘Comedy Central Live’ and ‘Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club’ on ITV. He is a regular at the Edinburgh Festival, with his most recent show, the “immensely entertaining”(Entertainment Now) ‘Faster Horses’ receiving rave reviews and a run at the Soho Theatre in 2023.
