Sarah Roy
Sarah trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and performed in a number of Off-Broadway plays.
She performed in Animals And Plants written and directed by Pulitzer Prize nominated Adam Rapp and The Bad And The Better directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin.
Sarah trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and performed in a number of Off-Broadway plays, most notably Animals And Plants written and directed by Pulitzer Prize nominated Adam Rapp and The Bad And The Better directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin.
Since moving back to the UK, she formed 19th Street Productions and subsequently produced and performed the one woman show, Catherine And Anita, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017 (Assembly Rooms) and transferred to the Kings Head Theatre, London. The script was then adapted into the feature film, Zebra Girl, which she produced, co-wrote and starred in alongside Tom Cullen and Jade Anouka. Zebra Girl was released in the UK, USA and Canada in 2021 and was nominated for Best Thriller at the National Film Awards.
Sarah recently produced the critically acclaimed Yes So I Said Yes by David Ireland at the Finborough Theatre in 2021 (Best Production – London Pub Theatre Awards) followed by David Ireland’s newest play Not Now at the Finborough Theatre in November 2022 (included in The Observer’s Top 10 shows of 2022).
