Michelle Brasier

Best known for her frequent collaborations with Aunty Donna (including Netflix series Aunty Donna’s Big Old House Of Fun), Michelle is a sought after character actor with a passion for writing and performing live shows that slingshot you from laughter to tears and blur the line between standup and gig theatre.

Her show, Average Bear, was nominated for Best Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, won Directors’ Choice at Sydney Comedy Festival, won a Green Room Award for Best Writing, sold out at Edinburgh Fringe and is now streaming as a one hour special on Paramount Plus. Michelle first hit UK soil performing as the jeans half of Double Denim which became a cult favourite each year at Edinburgh Fringe. She recently debuted in Montreal as part of their New Faces International Showcase. Michelle has written episodes for US Adult Swim animation Yolo Crystal Fantasy (streaming on HBO Max). As well as voicing characters for Yolo, she voices Makayla Taylor Mercedes and various others in Koala Man (Hulu / Disney). Michelle appears in Why Are You Like This (Netflix), which she also wrote for, Drunk History Australia (TEN), Ten sitcom How To Stay Married, Whovians (ABC) as well as starring in the soon to be released musical comedy series, Stories From Oz (ABC), writing for and starring in both sketch show, We Interrupt This Broadcast (7) and Aunty Donna’s first narrative sitcom (ABC) all hitting screens in 2023.
